LG RHT497H/RHT498H slow/sluggish behaviour

We have had a couple of LG RHT497H and LG RHT498H HDD/DVD Freeview recorders coming into the workshop with slow/sluggish behaviour.

This can be improved but requires a workshop repair rather than in the home.

These recorders can also suffer with subtitles appearing and causing issues, there is a partial fix where subtitles will only appear during a recording but not on playback. Again this is something we would need to do in the workshop.

Inspection Charge

We charge £36.00 for all TV and computer repairs upfront as an inspection charge. I would like clarify that this does get taken off the final bill as it then goes towards labour costs should you want to go ahead with the repair.

Some people may be put off by this inspection charge, but for us it is paramount - We invest a lot into equipment, parts and time. By setting an upfront charge: a) we know the customer is serious about having it repaired, and b) We have an obligation to get on with th...

From our shop you can buy the old style bulbs - Although we like the energy saving bulbs, sometimes they just don't give the output required.
