Sony RDR-HXD870 and Sony RDR-HXD890 guide not working

We are finding that the guide of the Sony RDR-HXD870 and Sony RDR-HXD890 HDD/DVD Recorder sometimes stops working and causes the recorder to crash.

This can be fixed here in Bath, we'd be happy to look at this one for you - it's not a throw-away recorder, its a solid make!

Toshiba 32BL702B and 32BV502B no sound but picture ok. Sound fades out after a couple of hours

We have come across some TVs, including the Toshiba 32BL702B and 32BV502B, where it loses sounds but the picture remains ok. The sound may fade out after 30 minutes but can last up to a few hours until the issue arises. The sound may even start working again if the TV is turned off for a while.

Toshiba 22DV713B TV Repair - Sound ok, no picture

The Toshiba 22DV713B TV (and potentially other similar models) has a fault where the sound will work ok but the picture will disappear within a second or two after switch on. This is not always the tubes (and even if so, we may still be able to repair if parts are available) and can actually be the components on the panels inside not working correctly. Sharp LC22DV510K TV repair - flashing standby light/died while watching tv

Similar to the Toshiba 22" TV series, this Sharp LC22DV510K TV will suddenly turn off while watching and then lose power becoming completely dead (or will get stuck in standby with a flashing standby light). Although 22" and similar size TVs don't cost the Earth these days - they are even cheaper to repair!

This is a component-based repair and we upgrade all the components in question, not just the ones that have gone pop, so that this fault should not reoccur. As always, we do a 3 month warra...

Toshiba 22BL702B, 22DL702B, 19DL502B, 22DL704B and 23DL933B TV Repairs - Turned off by itself, now no power/dead or stuck on flashing standby light

There are a number of Toshiba TV models (22BL702B, 19DL502B, 22DL702B, 22DL704B and 23DL933B) that have a common fault where they will suddenly turn off while on and then lose power becoming completely dead. They may also decide just not to turn on one day with a flashing standby light. Although 22" and similar size TVs don't cost the Earth these days - they are even cheaper to repair. Plus its one less TV that needlessly ends up in a landfill site, which can only be a good thing.

Toshiba 32BV700B TV Repair - Flashing white standby light, won't turn on

Another Toshiba TV fault, this time the Toshiba model 32BV700B which refuses to turn on and has a flashing white standby light. We now have the parts in stock to repair this and not only do we replace the necessary components but we also upgrade them to stop this same issue from reoccurring.

Toshiba 32DV502B and 32BV502B TV Repairs - Dies with a bang after refusing to turn on

There appears to be an issue with the Toshiba TV models 32DV502B & 32BV502B TVs where it may not switch on and then after a "pop" or small bang it will die and lose power. Although this may sound terminal, parts are readily available to make repairing this tv an option. This fault may occur on similar tv models, but the known ones are listed below:

Samsung models LE32A456C2D and LE32A457C1D TV Repairs - Slow to turn on/turns itself off

Both the Samsung LE32A456C2D and LE32A457C1D LCD TVs suffer from a few power-related issues. Sometimes it can be slow to turn on or refuse to turn on, and other times it can suddenly just turn itself off. These issues may happen together or independently of each other but are both repairable and cheaper than buying a new TV.
