Samsung LCD TV Erratic volume and channel behaviour

Posted by Peter Hancock on Thursday, August 9, 2012, In : Repair
Some Samsung LCD TVs are experience odd behaviour where the volume goes up or down by itself or may channel flick without you pressing any buttons. This can be a fault within the tv, not necessarily the remote! However this is repairable and we generally have the parts in stock for quick turn around.

Models affected:

LE32A456C2D or similar

Goodmans GTVL32W17HDF & GTVL32W27HDF LCD TV Repairs

Posted by Peter Hancock on Friday, July 6, 2012, In : Repair
Even though Goodmans isn't what it once was, an actual company, and now more of a badge, some of their tvs to come out in the last 5 years are still worth saving.

The GTVL32W17HDF & GTVL32W27HDF models are good examples of this.

Good looking, slim, and HD Ready, these can still punch above their weight in sound and picture quality. An added bonus is that it has 2 scart ports compared to the usual 1 (or 0) you get in new "Smart" TVs, handy for that old VCR or DVD Player you may still like to u...

Toshiba Freeview Issues - No Picture or Sound

Posted by Peter Hancock on Friday, May 11, 2012, In : Repair
There is a known fault with the Toshiba 32C3030D / 32C3030DB series where the Inbuilt Freeview can suddenly stop working. We now have a permanent fix for this and can have it repaired on the day it is brought into the shop. The charge of the repair should be under £50, and in my view, a worth-while fix as the Toshib...

Yet more Samsung LCD TVs in for repair!

Posted by Peter Hancock on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, In : Repair
Within the last couple of months we have seen an increase in the Samsung A55 model versions coming in for repair. This includes the LE40A557P2FXXU and LE40A559P4FXXU. They appear to have a similar power supply issue to the older  LE40R88BDXXEU and LE40R87BDXXEU models but currently we can repair them slightly cheaper and due to components required.

If you have a Samsung LE40A557P2, LEA559P4F or a similar model and it is taking longer to turn on, turns itself off or refuses to turn on at all (p...

LG 32LG7000 LCD TV Picture issues

Posted by Peter Hancock on Thursday, January 19, 2012, In : Repair
We have recently had an increase of faulty LG LCD TVs, and although rarely the same problem, we have noticed that the LG LG7000 series, most notably the LG 32LG7000ZA, there is an issue where the picture can switch off at random intervals yet the sound remains perfectly fine.

Although this usually suggests faulty components, it can just be a case that the TV just needs a good servicing. This service could cost as little as £30+VAT so please consider having it repaired before letting it end up...
